This is a full-time position with stable hours, even during rainy weeks.
Crews work Monday - Friday from 7:
00am until 3:
30pm.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION To perform the day-to-day maintenance and repairs of all KICA infrastructure, including landscape lighting, boardwalks, walk bridges, roadways, leisure trails, viewing towers, crab docks, boat docks, signage, mailboxes and KICA facilities.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs routine daily work projects and/or repairs on KICA infrastructure, as assigned.
Provides information and/or work log to General Maintenance Supervisor of work completed.
Notifies General Maintenance Supervisor of any problems with KICA infrastructure which need to be addressed.
Completes daily landscape lighting checks, as specified in the General Maintenance SOP.
Performs all re-decking projects for KICA crab docks, boardwalks, bridges, docks, as directed.
Performs all new mailbox installation, as directed.
Ensure quality workmanship in keeping with KICA and ARB standards, in order to maintain the excellence of the Kiawah brand.
Ensure infrastructure is maintained in a safe condition.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES High school degree/GED preferred but not required.
Strong customer service skills General carpentry and facility maintenance skills Ability to work as part of a team or individually with limited supervision.
Ability to climb a ten foot ladder and to lift up to 50 pounds.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS Pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and driving record check.
